In this process, the fat and hydroxide are heated up to 80- 100 degrees Celsius. Unlike the cold process, the exact measurements are not needed. After the saponification process is complete, the excessive liquid is drained and then pour into a mold.

Soap in the 18th Century

Around the 16th Century, soap began to use vegetable oil instead of animal fat. Production of soap was mainly produced by small manufacturers. It was not until the 18th Century that soap production was industrialized.
