The Benefits of Cocoa Butter- part 2

Cocoa butter does not only help protect and replenish your skin, it can also help reduce signs of eczema and dermatitis!

How does it work? When used as a topical cream, cocoa butter helps create a wall between your skin and its surroundings. This wall prevents the moisture in your skin from escaping, reducing symptoms of dryness and eczema. Cocoa butter also contains a substances called cocoa mass polyphenol (CMP), which helps reduce the production of the immune globulin IgE. IgE is known to increase symptoms of dermatitis and eczema.

Cocoa butter also helps reduce signs of aging, containing lots of antioxidants it helps fight those pesky free radicals. Be careful when using cocoa butter, as your skin may be allergic to cocoa butter.
